How your Learning Style affects your students ability to learn.
This course focuses on understanding the under-structure of learning. Certain underlying structures may determine how we learn. These are based on: (a) how our culture perceives the importance of having an education (b) the messages (verbal and nonverbal) that we get from our home and our environment about learning and having an education (c) learned behaviors that will affect our learning styles (d) the “Pygmalion effect”, (e) our internal self-talk (f) our self-efficacy (g) post-traumatic stress disorders (h) anxiety (i) and the affects of rejection, low-self-esteem, abuse, on our learning ability and upon these teaching a positive self-talk to students. |
