Do you find yourself saying “please pay attention” to your student(s) more than you would like? What does “pay attention” mean and how can we teach “attention” to our students. How will the practice mindfulness help a student (and yourself). This course is focused on how to teach “attention” and bringing mindfulness into the classroom. This class will provide you with the benefits of implementing mindful awareness in the classroom based on research and specific ideas to apply this practice. You will experience the practice of mindfulness, learn about its benefits, understand the science and research and write a lesson plan/incorporate ideas and script to help you begin to implement the practice into your work. These ideas can be modified for the grade levels K-12 and is appropriate for ALL grade levels. |
